Recycling Depot at Earth House
When JET moved to Earth House in February 2002, a recycling depot for PET bottles was established in partnership with Recycle for Life. This was intended to provide a location for JET members and other concerned citizens to bring PET bottles.
Since then, the collection depot has been expanded. JET currently works with
Pepsi Cola, ACE Recycling
and Plastic Recyclers of Jamaica. Items collected include PET bottles, HDPE bottles
and paper (NO NEWSPAPER). We hope to inform the general public about recycling and proper waste handling methods. It is hoped that, in future, sufficient volume will be generated to earn a small income.
The recycling depot is open between 10.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. |
